Traditional Photo Albums – Handmade in the UK

Our Heritage English Library Collection is the quintessential traditional photo album range and is handmade by our craftsmen here in the UK. On sales for many years from Harrods, John Lewis, Fenwick's and Selfridges. We have two styles of traditional photo albums. Our traditional photo album tan corner and tan spine range and our contrasting two-tone colour photo album range. There are five sizes in the range starting with our Classic Studio 80 square album, the Classic One portrait album, the Classic Two and Classic Three square albums and the Classic Four landscape album which is probably the largest traditional photo album handmade in the UK. You can choose acid-free archival quality cream or black pages, both with traditional PH balanced opaque glassine interleaves which help to protect your photos.

Traditional Photo Album Size Guide

Our traditional photo albums range consists of the Classic Studio 80, Classic Two, the Classic Three and probably the largest photo album made in the UK our Classic Four size albums with each album having a different number of sheets and also page size. Are these photo albums really handmade?

Yes — every album in our Heritage English Library Collection is handmade by our craftsmen in our West Country bindery, using traditional bookbinding techniques refined since 1947.

Are the pages acid-free?

Yes. All pages are archival-quality, acid-free cream or black card, interleaved with PH-balanced opaque glassine sheets to protect your photographs from chemical transfer and physical damage.

How many photographs will fit in a traditional photo album?

It depends on the size. A Classic Studio 80 holds up to 160 6"×4" prints, while our largest Classic Four holds up to 700. See our full size guide above for every size combination.
